Dr. Martin Schwab obtained his PhD in mechanical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology in the field of damage and failure modelling of fiber reinforced laminates. After his studies he joined AVL List GmbH where he held several positions and was responsible for the virtual validation of EV battery systems. Currently, Dr. Schwab is holding the position of the CEO of 4a engineering and is active in the fields of finite element analysis, material modelling and characterization, as well as battery technology.
