Yu-Wei obtained his PhD in 1995 in sheet metal forming in the department of Mechanical Engineering & Engineering Mechanics in Michigan Technological University. After working 5 years as a product engineer at Chrysler Corporation, he joined Cleveland Cliffs in 2001. He is now Corporate Manager of Advanced Engineering based out of the Detroit Regional Office, where he leads a team of engineers that are focused on developing innovative steel solutions for Cleveland-Cliffs' customers, as well as providing material characterization and computer modeling of stamping and structures performance.
