Dr. Danny Schaeffler has spent his 35-year career focusing on materials selection for sheet metal product applications, stamping tooling buyoff, hands-on formability analyses for troubleshooting field failures, and manufacturing process improvement. He is the founder and president of Engineering Quality Solutions, and is passionate about training new and experienced employees at manufacturing companies about how their forming success is impacted by sheet metal properties.
Danny provides seminars on sheet metal formability to companies as well as professional organizations like the Precision Metalforming Association. He is the lead content developer and presenter of the AHSS Metallurgy and Formability Training materials for the Auto/Steel Partnership. In addition, Danny is the Metallurgy and Forming Technical Editor of the WorldAutoSteel Advanced High Strength Steel Applicaô€€”on Guidelines.
Schaeffler has written over 130 articles, most recently for Metal Forming Magazine, and authored three sections in ASM Handbooks. Danny serves on the Metals Specifications Committee of SAE International and ASTM International, and is Past President of the North American Deep Drawing Research Group.
